COVID-19 GUIDELINES

The following are required protocols for participation at Christ the King Athletic Academy (CKAA). Anyone failing to adhere to these requirements may be asked to leave the field.

  • Temperatures will be taken of all Players, Coaches, and Volunteers prior to all practices and games. We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines to ensure compliance
  • Anyone who displays symptoms of being sick is asked to refrain from coming to practice/games, until symptoms are gone, per CDC guidelines.

  • If someone has been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 or someone tests positive for COVID-19, we ask that the parent contact their Coach/Dugout Parent immediately and follow the guidelines set by the CDC. Please click here for details.

  • If child is in quarantine, as a courtesy, please keep child away till symtoms are gone, per CDC guidelines.
  • Only authorized Coaches, CKAA Board members, Dugout parents and rostered players are allowed on the fields/dugout.
  • There shall be no sharing of food, snacks, or drinks for practices/games. 

  • Players should supply their own water bottles, sports drinks, etc.  Shared water coolers are not allowed. 

  • All equipment, drinks, bags, or anything else shall be placed in the assigned buckets.

  • All personal equipment, bags, and drinks should be labeled with child’s name.

  • Batting cages and soft toss nets are ONLY to be used with a one pitcher and one batter. Social distancing should be utilized when in waiting.
  • There shall be no sharing of equipment by players. This includes ANY part of the uniform, gloves, bats, and catcher’s equipment. 
    • If a catcher does not have their own equipment, they will need to purchase a set or speak with their Coach about a set loaned out by CKAA. 
  •  Sanitizer will be provided when it is available. Families are asked to bring their own sanitizer or other means to disinfect equipment or personal belongings.

  • Each registered child’s parent or legal guardian will be required to sign an Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability upon registration.

  • Social distancing standards (as outlined by the City of Jacksonville) should be practiced on the bleachers and surrounding areas.  Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating and space out appropriately along the fence lines.
